Submission Instructions and Important Dates

Smart networking solutions are certainly the main enablers for Future Internet applications and for the Internet of Things. The virtualization of network functions, the emerging solutions for software defined networks and all novel technologic developments in mobile networking, such as 5G, allow for, appart from legacy support, vehicular (or other mobile device) communications, cyber-physical systems and generalized cloud support. Novel intelligent transport systems, autonomous driving, smart city and cloud based applications will only be available and manageable if smart networking solutions are in place, able to provide ubiquitous interconnections to the global Internet. All these new trends put an increased demand and dependency on networking: on availability, on security, on privacy, on quality of service, on resilience, on management.

The 3rd International Workshop on Future Internet and Smart Networks, FI&SN'2018, welcomes submissions of original research papers on all aspects of Future Internet and Smart Networks, ranging from concepts and theoretical developments to advanced networking technologies and innovative applications.

All papers accepted in the Workshop will be published as a volume of the Ambient Intelligence and Smart Environments Series (ISI indexed, DBLP) by IOS Press, which will also be Open Access, and be made electronically available through the ACM Digital Library (pending).
